Smoked cashew vegan cheese - heart healthy dairy free cheese

    This cheese is super quick to make and tastes amazing. It slices and is set using the seaweed extract agar agar. Cashews, maple, smoked paprika and nutritional yeast so it is hard to go wrong.



    You can't sub the agar agar but the nuts can be replaced by anything and the yeast extract you can leave out or replace with marmite or miso or similar. :)

    I prepared it 4 hours ago and it tastes absolutely FABULOUS! ;);) Thank you for uploading it! But it is not so solid, as your's at the video. It's sticks on the knife. Should I refrigerated it before try it?

    That's strange I've made it a few times and it starts to set in seconds and is solid after half an hour.

    Hi Katerina, did you put it in the fridge to set? Unless its very warm it should set within 4 hours at room temperature. What kind of agar agar did you use?

    hello ,i make this smoked cashew cheese but is not so solid like photos why? i think is to much water ? thx

    Sorry to hear that, what kind of agar agar did you use? Did you stir constantly as simmering to stop any lumps forming?
