I can't always afford organic fruit and veg. What's the best way to wash non-organic produce to get rid of nasty pesticides and chemicals? I always give fruit and veg a quick rinse before consuming but wondering if that is enough? Thanks

Lots of them are inside the fruit veg so there is not much you can do other than just giving them a soak in salted water and then rinse

Will it not make the fruit/veg salty? I heard washing in vinegar somewhere but don't want to try it in case it tastes vinegary!!

Sadly the best thing to do is buy organic. If you can't then just washing them in water or peeling the skin is good. It's a bit catch 22 as if you take off the skin you take away many of the nutrients that are found next to the skin.

Just do the best you can, if your living in a city like London the pesticides on fruit and veg is low down on the list pollutants entering your body.
